Steve Hunt - Chief Executive
I am the Chief Executive and Company Secretary for ENEHL. As chief executive I have overall responsibility for the operation and management of the company which is discharged through the ALMO Management Team. I am accountable to the Board of Directors. As Company Secretary I am responsible for ensuring the company complies with statutory and legislative requirements, particularly those within the Companies Acts.
I have been with ENEHL since it was established in April 2007. I have now been in Leeds for seven years having previously spent eleven years with Wakefield Council and thirteen years with Barnsley Council. I started as a Rent Collector and Rent Rebate Clerk and have worked my way through virtually every job possible in Housing Management over the thirty one years that I have been in the profession. I hold the Chartered Institute of Housing Professional Qualification and a Masters Degree in Business Administration.
I am married with two grown up children and live just outside Leeds in Castleford. I am a passionate gardener, Land Rover fanatic (anorak) and owner of two Weimaraner dogs one of whom has lifetime qualification for Crufts.
Tony Butler Director of Technical Services
As Director of Technical Services I am responsible for all Home improvements, repairs and maintenance work – both responsive and planned, adaptations to customers homes and also the overall health and safety and asbestos management within the company.
My major focus in recent years has been delivering the Decent Homes investment programme though collaborative working with contractors to ensure high quality work is delivered to our customers.
With over 30 years experience in property maintenance, I feel that I have expert knowledge of managing the East North East Homes stock. The early part of my career included the maintenance and improvement of domestic properties, but primarily I have worked on delivering projects to maintain and improve council homes as well as our own commercial premises.
I have a wealth of experience drawing up technical and design standards, commissioning stock condition surveys, developing and implementing polices and formulating and delivering programmes of work.
Jill Wildman - Director of Housing Services
My team and I are responsible for delivering a customer focused, front-line, housing service.
The Housing Services Section is divided into three specific, service areas of work that encompasses a wide variety of housing management services. These are delivered by over two hundred staff from both central and decentralised locations providing an essential link between East North East Homes, our customers and other partners.
The Estate and Support Services Section are responsible for the management of the Environmental Teams, Caretaking and Sheltered Warden functions for the organisation. Officers manage and monitor the performance of a number of contracts delivery environmental initiatives that includes grounds maintenance and building cleaning. We also have to ensure that the requirements of the Supporting People Commission Board are delivered in order to promote independent living for older people and the wider community.
I am also responsible for the overall management of the housing offices tenancy management functions and estate and support services.
My work is primarily concerned with the front facing contact with the public from customer services to community involvement.
