Michelangelo’s Mates
Michelangelo’s Mates, social enterprise painting and decorating scheme, has been created by East North East Homes Leeds (ENEHL) in partnership with charity Avalon. The small team of people train as apprentices in painting and decorating, and then work as sub-contractors to ENEHL. They provide a quality service for tenants who can’t do their own painting and decorating through illness or disability, or to prepare empty properties for new tenants.
All completed work is quality checked by ENEHL and, in some cases, Michelangelo’s Mates are used instead of grants giving to tenants to decorate their home themselves

Groundwork has helped secure match funding for ENEHL and advising on and helping to develop community led, environmental improvements.

Delivering elearning to ENEHL staff.

Working to deliver afforfable financial services to local people. Services include:
