South Gipton TRA
Working with South Gipton TRA we managed to get a bingo session of the ground for the local older people, and start the massive project of clearing the Brander Park. The clean up included over 15 young people who also helped out on the day.
Phoenix Residents Association
We had a meeting to try to re-establish this grou. A lot of work to go yet but positive beginnings.
Briarsdales and Gipton Gate
Briarsdale and Gipton Gate identified their community kitchen as their major priority and asked if ENEHL could support them in the renovation. We managed to get a free kitchen from Rixonway, free labour from staff (this included Angelina Fixter from the Board and Steve Hunt). All in all a phenomenal project where ENEHL went the extra mile for the customers. The entire room was renovated including new carpets and tiles, painting and heating system, and furniture donated by the Elemete Centre and Park Lane College. In total over £5,000 savings made with free labour, kitchen and equipment.
CATCH Leeds
We have been working closely with this new group to help them establish and work to develop both the group and their projects. Currently we have been working with this group to access funding to establish communal play areas for their community.
Wykebeck Valley Road and MSF Residents Association
The Wykebeck Valley Road Association have planned in and got some young people from the local St Nicholas’s School to plant some gardens in and around that block. They have continued to expand the area they manage, and are creating beautiful gardens.
