Leaseholders Alterations

An alteration is something that affects the structure of your home but may not change the value of your home.

You must have written permission from Leeds City Council before you make any alterations.

Examples where permission would be required are generally where there are to be structural alterations which includes:

  • removing or addiing internal walls
  • building a conservatory
  • replacement windows

Permission would not be required for items like putting up shelves, internal decorating, fitting wardrobes, replacement kitchens

Whilst permission may be granted for undertaking the works you will be required to obtain:

  •    Planning Permission
  •    Building regulations approval
