The Compton Centre
The centre is located on Harehills Road, on the old Compton Road Library site. Although Leeds City Council customer services staff will answer ENEHL tenants’ enquires, but there are no ENEHL staff based here

The Compton Centre will transform access to services for people living in Harehills and the North East areas of Leeds, by providing a range of council services and access to the council's partners in modern facilities and all under one roof!

Our Customer Services team will be available to assist with the following

Benefits - information about Housing Benefit, Council Tax Benefit, free school meals and school clothing vouchers

Council tax - bills, discounts, Business Rates, and how to pay.
You will also be able to make a 30 minute appointment with us to talk about Benefits and Council Tax. If you find it difficult to visit us during the week we will be pleased to offer you a 30 minute appointment on a Saturday morning

Housing – enquiries about repairs, rent accounts, applying for a council house, neighbour problems or any housing enquiries.
Other services from us - if we can't help you we will put you in touch with someone who can.

Hate Incident Reporting Centre - a hate incident is any incident that the victim or any other person believes has been motivated by hatred of race, disability, religion or sexual orientation. You can report hate incidents at a One Stop Centre rather than a police station. We work with West Yorkshire Police, Leeds Racial Harassment Project and Yorkshire MESMAC (sexual health project).

Registrars Services - will be operating surgeries at the centre.

Leeds City Credit Union information point – information about Leeds City Credit Union products and services and help to complete application forms.

Self-Service facilities will be available for you to access some services online or via out free phone hotlines.

Welfare Rights - Advice surgeries will be available for those who require information, advice or assistance to claim welfare benefits. These will be available by appointment only. Appointments can be booked by calling into any One Stop Centre or by calling the Welfare Rights Unit on 0113 3760452

Chinese Community worker - A Chinese Community Worker will be based at Harehills Joint Service Centre who will provide advice, information and an advocacy service to members of the Chinese Community throughout Leeds. There will also be access to group activities to alleviate social isolation and assist with integration.

NHS - Our partners the NHS Leeds Community Healthcare’s Primary Care Mental Health Team will provide counselling and support to any patients referred to the service by their family doctor (GP).
