The findings of the report said that the customers are put first and the team have engaged with tenants to find out their needs by putting on events such as Older Peoples Week, and encouraging older people to join the World Wide Web by introducing the Silver Surfer programme in Wetherby which promoted new learning skills through computers.
Currently ENEHL manage 673 properties across the area. Sheltered Housing is usually provided for people who are over the age of 60, these are generally for individuals that require support who are either vulnerable due to ill health, frail or elderly.
We currently have 22 sheltered schemes ranging from purpose built accommodation, studio flats and bungalows to multi storey flats.
Some of our sheltered schemes have communal facilities such as a laundry, communal lounge or community centre. Some of these also have regular activities. A team of Area Scheme Support Officers, cover several schemes in a geographical area and they are available to assist between the working hours of 8.00am to 4.00pm Monday to Friday.
